How does solar power work? Does it need to be plugged in?

The dash cam needs to stay connected to the car charger while driving. Solar and built-in battery power only support parking protection after the car is turned off — no hardwire kit required.
How does parking monitoring work?

After the engine is off, the dash cam enters standby mode. If a collision is detected, it records a 30-second clip and saves it in the Emergency Video folder. (Screen off ≠ power off.)
Why does the dash cam ask to reformat the SD card?

Please format the microSD card in the dash cam itself before first use. Formatting on a computer may cause compatibility issues.
Wi-Fi can’t connect?

Turn on the dash cam’s Wi-Fi and check if the app detects VD1 Pro 4K.
Do I need to buy a hardwiring kit for parking mode?

No. It offers 7–14 days of parking protection without a hardwire kit.
